Jacksonville, FL Family Photographer | In Home Photo Shoots
Growing up, I was forced (so dramatic, I know) to partake in annual family portraits at Olan Mills. If you are not familiar with Olan Mills, its a photography studio where they placed you in weird, unnatural positions to pose for a photograph. There wasn’t room for being yourself, it was just the typical smile for the camera deal. Don’t get me wrong, I am glad I have those tangible memories to look back on but its proven to be opposite of how I approach family photographs.
My approach to family photography is natural, organic & real. Capturing those in-between moments that are often bypassed is very important to me & the vision I have for my families. I offer several different (photo shoot) options: in home (as shown here), on location (for example, dusk on the shoreline) or in studio.
I want a feeling to come over you when you look back on the photographs I have taken for you. The normal days (the little in-between moments) is something that we end up missing the most. I’ve got quite a few years behind me & I have learned to treasure what matters the most (moments over things).
As a mother to an eighteen year old son (Asher), I know first hand how quickly our children grow (and how quickly we grow). Having the gift of freezing time (feeling/emotion/memories) is something I am truly honored to partake in.
I am always taking on new clients & would be honored to photograph your family story.
